Humphris Park/South Pier
If you’re looking for a slightly more scenic route, Humphris Park sits at the end of Venice Beach and connects to the South Jetty, a rocky jetty that juts out almost a hundred yards into the gulf. Outside the jetty there are calm waters perfect for fishing or snorkeling, but keep out of the boat channels.

Brohard Park covers 67 acres and includes half a dozen smaller park areas within itself, including Service Club Park, Venice Fishing Pier, Maxine Barrit Park, and Brohard Paw Park.

While downtown Brohard Park is busy, just to the north you’ll find the quiet spot of Service Club Park. It is a perfect place to camp and enjoy a bit of the beach without the hustle and bustle of the busiest areas.

Venice Fishing Pier/Beach Access
If you’re looking for a great home base for the day, head to the Venice Fishing Pier, which has all the important amenities, and the highly visible beachside Sharky’s Bar and Restaurant.

Maxine Barritt Park
Right near the Venice Fishing Pier, you’ll see Maxine Barrit Park, filled with playgrounds, a fenced-in alligator habitat, and some of Venice’s pet-friendly policies, allowing you to bring your dog with you. a 6 foot leash.
Brohard Paw Park
Even our pets need a vacation, and there’s no better place to make sure your dog gets a bath than by taking him to the beach. Unfortunately, most Venice beaches keep pets outside to keep the beaches clean, but at Brohard Paw Park, your little friend is more than welcome. With an acre of waterfront property and plenty of ways to rest and cool off for both you and your dog, it’s a necessary stop in Venice if you’ve brought your furry friend along for the trip.
South Brohard Beach
Finally, completing Brohard Park, if you are looking for another quiet side of the park, head to South Brohard Beach and relax away from the bustle of the main beaches.

Caspersen Beach
As the southernmost of Venice’s many beaches, Caspersen Beach may offer a mix of developed beach and undeveloped coastline as the beauty of nature takes hold on the outskirts of the city. Running two miles along the coastal beach and covering 177 acres, Caspersen Beach is one of the most exclusive spots in all of Venice, allowing you to get back to nature or just relax on the quiet part of the beach. If you’re an amateur paleontologist, Caspersen is the place for you, too, with plenty of fossilized shark teeth and seashells to collect in the undeveloped areas.
