How can someone so small require all those clothes, toys, bottles and blankets? Before the baby is born, we grab our car keys, a jacket or sweater, a wallet, maybe our cell phone, and head off to wherever without worrying about hiring a truck to bring all our stuff! However, once that baby is born, we find the need to bring in so much more! Babies’ needs include feeding and clothing them for a few hours, but we tend to be ready for Armageddon when we take them to visit a relative in the next town. Some of those items that we feel are necessary to bring may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Blankets
gold shawl sweater
golden t-shirt two
boots and socks
Golden Cap
Sleepers (preferably with feet on them)
Diapers (maybe a half dozen or more)
mittens
Bun
Baby wipes
baby bottles
Formula
baby cereal
teaspoon (for cereal)
a bib or two
Pacifier to calm the baby between meals
All of the above can fit in a large diaper bag. We now carry a baby in her carrier, a large diaper bag filled with baby clothes and diaper changes, and enough milk and cereal to feed the child for weeks. Parents love to plan ahead! The baby’s clothes should be soft, warm and somewhat warm.
A baby may go through several changes of clothes during a typical day because they tend to spit up or leak in some way. Conscious parents prepare for that by buying lots of pajamas, t-shirts, booties, socks, etc. to make sure your baby stays clean and warm. Of course, the best way to get all of those items and more is at a baby shower. Friends and coworkers love to give everything from those tiny booties or hats to toys like crib mobiles, rattles, pacifiers, as well as diaper bags to transport all those baby items to the mom-to-be and , of course, to family members. she will always help by donating inheritances from other children in the family who have surpassed hers. Those baby items that have outgrown will likely have very little evidence of wear because they simply outgrew before much use.
Baby clothes are a favorite to give when mom brings her newborn baby home from the hospital and is faced with new experiences and exciting events ahead. That little baby will be demanding and needy for several years and what is needed the most is baby clothes. As fast as the baby grows, it is obvious that she will soon need more clothes and a slightly larger size. Softness is important because that little baby has very soft and cuddly skin and deserves the best in materials!
Keeping baby warm and cozy is what parenthood is all about at this stage. There will be plenty of time for teaching and discipline later, but for now that precious baby is innocent and deserves all the tenderness his parents can give him. All those tiny clothes will soon be outdated! If this is your first baby and you hope to add to your family in the future, buy good quality clothes that will last several babies. This is true for children of any age as they continue to grow into adulthood. Families often trade baby clothes when their own child outgrows them and this can be an ongoing occurrence that keeps that family together.
