You have seen them many times in many places. But have you ever thought of using them in your online marketing?
What I’m talking about? I’m talking about the power and universal appeal of flowcharts.
What is a flowchart? A “flowchart” is a verbal and graphic description of a project process or stages that provides useful language for communicating a personal or professional vision.
If you want to increase the impact of your marketing communications, start turning your “static” mental ideas into “dynamic” flowcharts.
Most entrepreneurial CEOs and online Internet marketers don’t normally take the time to “flow chart” their marketing pitches or business plans. It’s a shame, because no skill is more valuable in getting your point across faster, better, and easier.
You will not find the concept “verbal vision” in Wikipedia or in any online dictionary. But at the same time I use it regularly to describe two important concepts that lead to better business presentations.
So, let’s break down the phrase “verbal insight” and take a closer look. To me, Verbal means “words and ideas that express movement” and Vision means “the act or power of anticipating what will be or may become.”
So now let’s apply the phrase “verbal vision” to the flowchart strategy. So when we do this, flowchart (when used as a verb) means to graphically express the process and direction of your ideas.
Pick a process in your niche, something you regularly teach and/or regularly take your client through. Now list the steps involved in this process. For each step, create a chart on your sheet of paper. Now connect these steps with arrows pointing in the direction of the flow of the steps.
You now have a visual representation that strongly communicates your process and the benefits of your process.
