The divorce rate is on the rise in our society. As households break up, children lose the benefit of the resident parent. The remaining parent, who is usually required to work, has less time and energy to devote to the actively growing children who are experiencing trauma as a result of the divorce. Looking closely at these kinds of children, one would discover that there is a general disorder and lack of discipline among them.
Children need love and personal attention, but many aren’t getting it in the amounts they should. They need protection from this evil world; but they are exposed to doses of sex, violence and rudeness. They see it on television, hear it on the radio, and see it in the lives of adults who have abandoned traditional values once common even among non-Christians.
These children are God’s inheritance. Today, more than ever, they need the attention, love, and help of caring Christians and ministers who understand their deepest needs and who want to help these boys and girls experience the quality of life God wants them to have. If these children do not have their needs met; if they do not come to the saving knowledge of Christ and learn how to live and grow in Him, there will continually be a new system of violence developed by them because they were not properly instructed in the Christian faith before the age of hostility, and where will the violence come from? churches of tomorrow
The remedy:
There is a remedy for this problem at hand. It is good for us to mentor our children so that we can have a better society tomorrow. A call to mentor our children is a good and commendable effort to reawaken our society, particularly parents, families, leaders, teachers, and adults, to their civic responsibility, duty, and God’s assignment. This is a clarion call to raise children, imperatively as role models, in a godly and effectual manner, to make them useful members of society.
This clarion call to empower our children has been declared timely in light of growing social ills, deteriorating moral standards, juvenile delinquency, and the high rate of unruly, uneducated, and impious behavior, including an increasing violent disposition. dangerous by young people that is now unfortunately rampant and unhealthy. common in our current society.
The formation of our children must focus primarily on the most precious and valuable book: the Holy Bible, because it is a true tool for parents, families, institutions, organizations and society in their quest to successfully guide children. as an inheritance from God. .
